More of the Same

Not too much going on in Deployment land.  It is very much ground hog day here as of late.  I have been working on some electronics projects - I have at least three going on simultaneously, as some wait for parts, others are actively being prototyped and others wait for motivation.

I am thankful to be on a base and have a job where I can carry on like this, many of the soldiers in Afghanistan don't live the cushy life that I have at Salerno.  I am practically a Fobbit - a fobbit is a soldier that never leaves the FOB (Forward Operating Base).  It is generally a derogatory term used by soldiers who actually go outside the FOB to describe other soldiers that stay in the relative safety of the FOB (usually service support soldiers like people who run finance and stuff like that).  So while I am not a true Fobbit  (since I work outside the gates every night - mind you in the safest capacity available), I still live in the lap of luxury and comfort and get to tinker with electronics stuff, work on my math classes and take showers daily.

This is a picture of my daughter that my Sis-in-law took.  Isn't she cool?  Is this a future red hat lady?

Please pray for soldiers that get out and do the hard work that I do not have to.  Please pray also for their family's.

Please pray for Afghanistan, that this group of people can get along together as well as any diverse group of folks can.  Please also pray for the plight of women in this culture.
