Back in Salerno Again

I have returned to Salerno.  It is good to be back.

The guys told me they had to hire a shipping manager to handle all the packages I had received in my absence.  You are all very generous and kind for what you have sent me - I am well taken care off, and feel much loved - Thank You!

The temp here is warmer, and strangely, birds chirp through-out the evening.  The gym is wonderful (I live directly across from it).  My room has the AC unit in it, so it is frigid at all times, which I am learning to like.

But the real draw is having the guys around - a true blessing!  Mr. M is learning to play guitar (he already sings great), so we have live music every night.  And just hearing familiar laughter is a wonderful gift.   What more can I say than I am happy to be united with my unit in "Sunny Sal".

I was delighted to see that Mr. Y constructed for me all the amenities a guy could ever dream of on a deployment (what a great friend!).  My room has two desks, a ladder to a loft and mood lighting in the form of Christmas lights.  I built some chairs and shelves last night.  It sort of feels like I am living in a fort for "grown-ups" - my little E would love it!

There is fake lizard used to frighten people - and of course I was set up by my house mates - luckily I didn't scream like a girl, but I did have a scare.   Here is the lizard in one of his more benign hiding places.

Please pray for all the friendships in my unit, that we might be "Quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger..."

Thanks again for taking such good care of me, I am a privileged man!
